Darren has worked in health insurance since 2014, including running brokerages and helping a wide range of clients find the right cover along the way. He founded Compare My Health Insurance to make comparing private health insurance genuinely clear and honest, rather than another generic price-comparison exercise, and oversees the site's content directly. Outside of work, he's a father of two girls who enjoys travelling and staying active, recently taking on a Hyrox.

Darren holds a Level 3 (RQF) qualification in UK financial services regulation and ethics, accredited by Ofqual, the same framework level as A-Level.

Yes, completely free. We don't charge you anything to compare, and we don't run adverts. If you take out a policy through one of our broker partners, they pay us a commission for the introduction, this comes from the insurer, not from you, and doesn't affect the price of your policy in any way.
